CIM Services
CIM provides the following investment management services to individuals, corporations,
trusts, estates, family offices, financial advisors and institutions.
- Separately Managed Accounts (SMA)
A SMA is a separately managed investment account professionally managed by an independent investment
management firm. The fundamental difference between a mutual fund and a SMA is that mutual fund investors
own shares of a mutual fund that owns the underlying investments, in an SMA structure the SMA investor
owns the assets directly. This adds a level of flexibility, transparency and control that is sought-after
by institutions and sophisticated individual investors.
- Unified Managed Accounts (UMA)
A UMA combines the benefits of separately managed accounts into a single wealth management solution. In a
UMA, investors may combine two or more investment managers as well as other investments in a single
investment account to create a more robust and broader based asset allocation solution. The UMA provides
the mass affluent and high net worth client an institutional level investment solution into a single
investment account.
- Private Labeled Research
CIM provides private labeled research to investment advisers, wealth managers and institutions. For a
negotiated fee, CIM provides the monthly asset allocation decisions for one or a combination of its
InvestFlex™ Strategies to third-parties which use this information to manage client accounts
directly under their own privately labeled dynamic investment product. A research agreement is executed
outlining the scope of the research provided and fees charged.
